Our Mission Statement
International Christian Aid (ICA) is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization committed to offering humanitarian aid, regardless of race, religion, sex, or political affiliation, to third world countries. Our principles are demonstrated through our actions and efforts to care for those in need and are manifested by our compassion, integrity and impartiality. ICA is an agent of hope, linking caring Americans with needy children, their families and communities in the developing world. We believe children are the future, yet they are the most vulnerable to disease, hunger and deprivation. International Christian Aid is committed to aiding these children, and to alleviating suffering by providing the initiatives and assistance that will bring about self-reliance and independence through education and basic resources. Our logo stands for “loving hands supporting the world”.
Where Are We Located?
ICA is located in the former Lutheran Church building in Jerome, Pennsylvania. This building provides space for collection, storage and packing of material aid donated for our ministry, as well as offices for administration of the program. ICA has no paid employees at home or in the field. Local Christian organizations and staff in in each country (see below) administer the programs thus, allowing all sponsorship monies to be used for the purpose given without overhead expenses.
What Do We Do?
- Through our Child Sponsorship Programs we provide financial support for the daily care and education of destitute children in the countries of India, Honduras, Mexico and Nicaragua.
- ICA also sends shipments of material aid to Honduras, Central America, to help Project Global Village with its development programs.
- With the leadership of our Work Camp Coordinators, opportunities are provided for persons to serve as volunteers with work groups sent to Honduras.
